Born on 30th of July, 1969, Simon Baker is the son of Barry Baker & his better half, Elizabeth Labberton. Professionally they worked as a mechanic/ groundskeeper & an English teacher at high school, respectively. His parents separated with divorce at his very early age. His mom later married a butcher named Tom Denny. Simon has a biological sister, & 3 junior half brothers. Around 1972, the entire family moved to New South Wales’ Ballina from Launceston, where Simon’s parents hoped to achieve better jobs. There, he went to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, earning graduation degree at the age of 17. In school, Simon was better recognized as Simon Baker- Denny or simply Simon Denny. Since 1998, he is carrying a nuptial bond with his spouse, Rebecca Rigg. They have 3 kids together, Harry Friday (b. 19th September, 2001), Claude Blue (b. 1998) & Stella Breeze (b. 8th August, 1993).

Simon Baker’s first acting job was an uncredited part in the 1987 movie “Midnight Magic”, followed by his television debut in 1989, again as an uncredited extra in a single episode of “Tales from the Crypt”. He, then portrayed Stewart Watermann on a couple of episodes of the TV series “A Country Practice” & finally earned his first major television roles of James Hudson in the Australian soap opera sitcom “Home and Away” (1993- 1994). He played Mr. Thomas ‘Tom’ Summers in “Heartbreak High” before earning one of his most recognized roles to date, i.e. Nick Fallin in “The Guardian”. Simon played the very character for about 3 long years, from 2001 to 2004. He earned his next celebrated role in the year 2008, portraying the lead, Patrick Jane in the CBS police procedural TV sitcom “The Mentalist. The program ram from 23rd September, 2008 until the 18th of February of 2015. Till date, Simon has even landed varieties of roles in dozens of movies, such as “L.A. Confidential” (1997), “The Affair of the Neclace” (2001), “The Devil Wears Prada” (2006), “Sixth and Death 101” (2007), “Not Forgotten” (2009), “Margin Call” (2011), “I Give It a Year”, & so forth.

In addition to acting & directing ventures, Simon Baker has even made his hands in different commercials for popular brands including Samsung. For his marvelous contribution to the acting industry, Simon was honored the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame’s star on 14th of February, 2013.
