Damon Albarn was spellbound in music since his early childhood days, attending The Osmonds’ gig at age 6. As a youth he was interested in playing piano, violin & guitar rather than studying, as a result both of he & his sister failed their 11-plus examination, & subsequently got enrolled to the Stanway Comprehensive School, Stanway, Essex, where Damon made in acting debut playing in several school productions. He later joined acting classes at Deben’s East 15 Acting School, but dropped out after a year. At the age of 20, he attended music course at Goldsmiths College, London as a part-time scholar, stating his sole motive was to earn entrée to the student union-bar. During his school days, Damon met fellow mate Graham Coxon & ultimately formed “Blur” & released the debut collection “Leisure”, in the year 1991 to mix reviews. Following his long tours throughout the United States, the rising artist’s songwriting became gradually more influenced by English bands from 60s. As its result, there came out “Modern Life Is Rubbish” (1993), “The Great Escape” (1995) & “Parklife” (1994). Collecting a wide acclaim from critics, Blur subsequently earned mass popularity all through the United Kingdom. Afterward albums carried influences from electronic, hip hop music & lo-fi, such as “13” (1999) & “Blur” (1997) & their final record “Think Tank” (2003). Later in 2008 December, Blur made an announcement about their reunion & subsequently aired their further records with smash hits. Working so long collaborate, the victorious artist made his solo debut most recently, releasing “Everyday Roberts” in his native UK on 28th April, 2014, featured collaborations along with Natasha Khan & Brian Eno under XL Recordings. In addition Damon has performed numerous associated acts with the celebrated “Monkey: Journey to the West” & “Gorillaz”.
