On 6th June, 1983, Gemma Bissix’s parents welcomed her as their very first baby in Chertsey’s St Peters hospital, Surrey, England. She grew up together with her 4 younger siblings in the Borough of Elmbridge, in Surrey. When Gemma was 11 years old, her parents separated with divorce. She was educated at the Thames Ditton Middle School, followed by her study at the Hinchley Wood School, in Hinchley Wood, Surrey.



Gemma Bissix’s career in acting commenced at a very young age. With the start of 1993, she made her professional debut, playing Debbie Tyler’s daughter in “EastEnders”, the long running BBC television series. After her departure from the soap, she took an acting break for a couple of weeks. Behind leaving school Gemma worked different odd jobs, such as in pub & in Marks & Spencer. In the year 2000, she made her guest starring in “The Fuires of Vulcan”, a radio drama by “Doctor Who”, & later in 2002, the actress backed to small screen, making guest appearance in a single episode of the popular medical drama sitcom “Doctors”. She was also seen as Sadie in a couple of episodes of “The Crust” in 2005, followed by her portray as Clare Devine, a regular character in the Channel 4 sitcom “Hollyoaks”. She left the show in 2007, & later returned in 2009, & too appeared in the year 2013. Earlier to this, she also reprised the role of Clare Bates once again in “EastEnders” in 2008. That year, she also played Lizzie Porter in one episode of the British musical drama TV sitcom: Britannia High” by David Ian & Arlene Phillips. Gemma was one among the various celebs to part take in “Celebrity MAsterChef”, in 2009 June. The very year, she appeared as a pianist on few editions of “The Wright Stuff”, a popular talk show on Channel 4.
